The artwork you need to supply depends on your card design. Often the only artwork you will need to supply is your logo. (But not always)
If you're not sure about sizes and image formats, just send what you think is appropriate and we can advise you from there.
Usually it's best to send a larger image that we can reduce in size rather than a smaller image that needs to be enlarged.
The examples on this page can be used as a guide to preparing images and graphics for your card design.
When viewed at full size, these examples show the size of an image required to print onto a plastic card.
Computer screens display at 72dpi, so the size of the image needed to print onto a plastic card at 300dpi appears much larger.
Creating your own image? The image dimensions needed to print on an entire card from edge to edge is 1011 x 638 pixels. This allows for approx 5 pixel bleed on all sides and can be in portrait or landscape orientation.
We do have Photoshop image templates available for download that are created at the correct size with guides to aid in design.
Not all card designs will need an image that covers the entire card.
For most designs you will only need to send individual graphic components such as your logo.
The examples on this page can help you create your logo at a large enough size to print.
Recommended image formats are jpg, psd, png images.
You can also send your artwork as a PDF document.
JPG images should be saved at the best quality option.
